RPCO1 endorses Php3.5B worth agri-infra dev’t SPs for DA-PRDP Scale-Up funding
A total of 22 agri-infrastructure development subprojects (SPs) with a project cost of Php3.5B were endorsed under the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) – Regional Project Coordination Office 1 (RPCO I) for funding under the PRDP Scale-Up phase.
Nine of these SPs are in the province of Pangasinan, four in La Union, five in Ilocos Sur, and four in Ilocos Norte.
The infrastructures proposed include 11 farm-to-market roads, six bridges, four potable water systems, one irrigation system, and two other infrastructures.
These SPs were included under the PRDP’s prioritization run after a series of validation conducted earlier this year,
Once approved, these SPs are expected to benefit farmers producing onion, coffee, peanut, mung bean, mango, tomato, garlic, and goat raisers in the region.
