Local officials tapped in O&M road condition survey
Local officials from the six barangays of Inabanga, Bohol participated in the on-site road condition survey of the Dagnawan to Dagohoy Farm-to-Market Road (FMR), a project of the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP).
The road survey, conducted by the DA-PRDP Regional Project Coordination Office 7 (DA-RPCO 7), is part of the I-BUILD’s Operation and Maintenance Plan training (OM) held recently in Tagbilaran City.
The FMR traverses the barangays of Dagnawan, Lomboy, Cawayan, Mabuhay, Banahao and Dagohoy.
The on-site road survey, which was also participated by the municipal and provincial Bohol Provincial Engineering’s Office (PEO), give first hand experiences and opportunities to apply the theories learned on the OM lectures. The OM will help barangay officials formulate their respective operations and maintenance plans for the overall upkeeping of the FMR.
Barangay Mabuhay Councilor for Infrastructure Jovencio M. Samuya expressed his appreciation, as they were exposed to actual on-site road condition survey aside from the theories given during the training session.
“To be involved personally in the survey of the road, it is now easy for us in the barangay to identify and prioritize areas that need immediate action, particularly in areas that need repairs,” he said.(Bexmae Jumao-as, RPCO 7, Writer)
