The Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project conducted a joint NPCO-PSO-RPCO site visit at Malalag, Davao del Sur in preparation for the 15th World Bank Mission on March 22 & 23, 2023.

The team composed of members from the I-BUILD, GGU, SES, M&E and InfoAce visited the site of the “Rehabilitation of Ibo-Pitu, Malalag Farm-to-Market Road” in Malalag, Davao del Sur to assess the progress on the implementation of the infrastructure subproject. They were met by representatives from the Province of Davao del Sur and the contractor of the project.

The team also conducted initial interviews with the Chairman of Barangay Pitu and some of the residents living within the communities where the road project is being constructed.

The two-day activity wrapped up with a meeting with Davao del Sur Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas at the Provincial Capitol to discuss some of the preparations being made for the upcoming visit by the PRDP, World Bank and European Union delegation on April 18, 2023.

Similar preparations are also being made for the “Green Coffee Beans Processing and Marketing Enterprise” subproject with the Tibolo Farm Workers Association (TIFWA) at Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur which will be the featured enterprise project for the said World Bank Mission. # (Joseph John Palarca| PSO Min)
