Meanwhile, Adelina Losa, Deputy Project Director of the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) 5, recounted the tedious procedure the project proposal underwent before it was approved. She commended Mayor Ronnel Lim and his staff for their dedication and determination in the face of hurdles in completing the subproject requirements.
Losa also advised the community to diligently monitor the project and ensure that quality and standards are properly adhered to. She further stated that a Rural Infrastructure Engineer from the region will be assigned to supervise project construction based on the approved Detailed Engineering Design.
On the other hand, Mayor Rommel Lim highlights the importance of having a slaughterhouse in the community and how consumers can be assured of clean and safe meat. Heinvited the community to collaborate and engage in project implementation to avoid project failure. He required the engineering department to supervise, lead, and support the builders throughout the project.
Furthermore, Vice-Mayor Valentin Pura IV stated that the Sangguniang Bayan will amend and revise its barangay ordinance to appropriately implement the slaughterhouse project. He further noted that this initiative is a significant gain for the LGU because it would increase revenue and expand its social services.
The construction of the AA Slaughterhouses project under the PRDP infrastructure component is regulated by the strict regulations and standards imposed by the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS). These rules involve hygiene, animal welfare, and food safety to guarantee a safe and high-quality meat product. # (Michelle Angela G. Alfigura, RPCO 5 InfoACE)
