The joint inspection team was led by RPCO BARMM I-BUILD Engineer Michael K. Anggol and PSO Mindanao I-BUILD Engineer Hilarion Delos Reyes and PSO Mindanao SES Unit Head Arnel Areglado together with representatives from different RPCO BARMM Components and Units: GIS Data Officer Suharto Dalig (GGU), Finance Analyst Mohammadali Guiamel (Finance), Social and Environmental Safeguards Officer Noria Andie and Associate SES Officer Al-Aviv Pendulat (SES), Rural Infrastucture Engineer Bolkiah Mamadsual and Project Development Associate Engineer Norhaine Enok (I-BUILD).
Engineer Hilarion highlighted the vitality of implementing a world-class quality FMR to effectively meet its prime purpose of cultivating development in rural communities. Municipal Engineer Haron Joefariz Dawi responded and expressed the strong commitment of the Municipal Project Management and Implementing Unit of Talayan and FFJJ Construction in conforming to the PRDP standards in the full implementation of the subproject.
With the PPMIU Talayan and FFJJ Construction’s active coordination and RPCO’s careful monitoring and supervision headed by Engineer Anggol, the FMR has currently reached 22.17% in its physical accomplishment since its kick off on November 8, 2020, exceeding its target accomplishments.
The infrastructure development component aims to improve the links from production areas to markets to enhance the efficiency of transporting agricultural products. It also aims for higher productivity as a result of increased cropping intensity and yields, food security and lower post harvest losses resulting in higher volume of outputs and more efficient support facilities.
DA-PRDP believes that by providing this key infrastructure, facilities, technology, and information there will be increased in incomes, productivity, and competitiveness in the countryside. (Joy Montecalvo with reports from MAFARM-BARMM)
