The Samahan ng Lingap Pamilyang Pinamalenyo (SNLPP), the proponent group of the Veggie Canton Noodles and Veggie Snacks Production and Marketing subproject, underwent skills training for Veggie Snacks Production, June 20-21, 2023.

This training was headed by members of the Samasabalatasan Agriculture Cooperative (SAC), an organization based in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro supplying veggie snacks to government agencies in the province. With this, they shared their skills and good practices with the members of SNLPP for replication.

SAC’s General Manager, Marife Dela Torre, stated that her objective as a resource speaker for the workshop is to share their organization’s best practices on making different veggie snacks.

“Nais ko pong maituro sa SNLPP ang mapa-ganda at mapa-ayos ang pag-gawa ng veggie canton noodles with malunggay at kalabasa at tsaka yung iba pang pwedeng gawin kagaya ng shingaling at crackers. Nais ko pong maituro sa kanila kung ano man ang aming natutunan sa aming Samahan,” shared Dela Torre.

(I wish to teach SNLPP how to properly make veggie canton noodles with malunggay, kalabasa, and other products like shing-a-ling and crackers. I want to teach them our learning in our organization.)

RPCO’s Enterprise Development and Marketing Specialist Ramon Policarpio closed the training by sharing his hopes for the SNLPP to use the good practices and lessons learned from the SAC.

“Your group [SNLPP] and Samasabalatasan have developed a good partnership. In DA, we promote the big sister-small sister partnership. Let us use this opportunity to be guided by the Samasabalatasan group. Let us use their learnings and learn from those who came before us,” said Policarpio.
