Training to enhance knowledge on procurement conducted to LGU Naawan
NAAWAN, MISAMIS ORIENTAL – The Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10), together with Project Support Office (PSO) Mindanao conducted a 3-day training and workshop on World Bank Harmonized Procurement Guidelines for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Naawan on February 22-24, 2022 this town.
DA 10 Regional Executive Director and DA-PRDP 10 Project Director, Carlene C. Collado welcomed the LGU participants and further assured that PRDP will always support every milestone of the subproject. “We all know that the requirements may be tedious because we are following the standards of the World Bank, but rest assured, we will be with you in every step of the way.”
The workshop serves as a venue to orient the LGU recipient with the World Bank Procurement Guidelines harmonized with R.A. 9184; discuss their roles and responsibilities in the procurement process; and to address issues and concerns encountered prior to the implementation of the subproject..
Attendees to the said training are the BAC members of LGU Naawan who received the No Objection Letter I (NOL1) for the subproject Construction of Mapulog-Tuboran FMR with Arch Bridges with an estimated project cost of Php 85,808,000.00. Also present as resource speakers of the said workshop are DA-PRDP 10 Procurement Head Jeffrey Baja, Procurement Officer Dionesio B. Cagampang , DA-PRDP 10 Associate Procurement Officer Apple Gay P. Cabasag, IBUILD 10 Rural Infrastructure Engineer Antonio Teves, and Finance Analyst II Andrew Salon. They were also joined by Engr. Chona R. Jarabata and Jennelaine G. Jos, Procurement Officer and Associate Procurement Officer of PSO Mindanao Procurement Unit respectively. # (IAgawin)
