SADACO now in it 3rd wave of distribution of dairy-based products to frontliners
San Agustin Dairy Cooperative (SADACO) is in its third wave of distributing dairy-based products to frontliners of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 2 (DA-RFO 2), Cagayan Valley Medical Center, and the different district and major hospitals in Isabela.
San Agustin Dairy Cooperative (SADACO), the proponent group of the PRDP-funded Carabao Dairy Enterprise (CDE) has started processing dairy products for the frontliners of the different hospitals across the province at the start of Enhanced Community Quarantine.
According to Ms. Sally Valencia, Isabela PRDP Action Officer, 700 bottles were distributed to the different District Hospitals located in Cauayan, San Mariano, Cabagan, Echague, and the Provincial Hospital in Ilagan and 200 bottles for Southern Isabela Medical Center during the first wave of distribution.
“Around 10,000 250 ml bottles are set to be distributed this week. The volume has increased because the different Rural Health Units in Isabela were already included in the list,” Valencia said.
Also included are IATF personnel manning checkpoints and the OFWs in the quarantine facilities in Amelita Resort in Cordon, ISU Echague Hostel, and staff housing.
The Provincial Project Management and Implementing Unit (PPMIU) earlier requested Gov. Rodito Albano III to include dairy as supplement food drinks to COVID 19 frontlines with the intention also to help SADACO market their processed milk and to give dairy farmers income during the quarantine period. Regular outlets of the cooperative are schools.
Meanwhile, RTD Rose Mary G. Aquino received the frozen dairy products in different flavors from SADACO delivered to DA -RFO 2 earlier today. (Ferdinand N Cortez, RPCO2 InfoACE Unit)
