RPCO3 works out 3 enterprise sub-projects
In preparation to the next batch of subprojects for approval under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), the I-REAP Component of the Regional Project Coordination Office 3 (RPCO3) held a Business Plan Review last June 14-17, 2016 in Angeles City, Pampanga. The training was attended by the Provincial Project Monitoring and Implementing Units (PPMIUs) and the proponent groups of Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac.
RPCO3 I-REAP Component Head William Valdez said that they are targeting to have a project in Pampanga under PRDP that is working.
“We are hoping that before the month of June ends the 3 enterprise development subprojects will be presented for approval by Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB). We also hope that those projects will be approved as well, ” said Mr. Valdez.
He added that they also invited specialists and experts from other components/units of RPCO 3 in order to guide the participants regarding the important requirements and documents that should be included in the business plan. He urged the participants to devote all their efforts and time in completing their business plans to comply the comments and recommendations regarding their proposals.
RPCO3 Alternate Focal Person Gil David, said “We should complete all the requirements and documents before the presentation of subprojects to the RPAB. The proponent groups together with the PPMIUs of Pampanga, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac should talk about their business plan particularly to the design of their civil works. As early as now they should agree to the design needed by the project in order to finalize the cost.’’
“Whatever the result of your Business Plans will tell if you will be included in the next RPAB,” he continued.
The activity also aimed to inform the participants regarding the implications of the 2nd World Bank Implementation Support Mission to the I-REAP sub-projects. (Dianne M. Lapuz, DA-PRDP RPCO3 InfoACE Unit)
