RPCO3 I-BUILD provides Operations and Maintenance Training
In addition to various trainings provided to improve operations of proponent groups PRDP, RPCO3 I-BUILD Component organized a training on Operation and Maintenance for Civil Works and Other Infra Subprojects on September 25-28, 2018 in Angeles, Pampanga.
Representatives of component groups and their respective LGUs were invited to the train regarding the proper operations and maintenance of the infrastructures provided to them to aid their operations.
Engr. Ericson Mammag, the Alternate Head of NPCO I-BUILD Component served as the resource speaker for the said training. Technical topics such as: Who, When and How to apply Maintenance for Civil Works and Infra Subprojects were discussed to attendees.
In addition, the attendees were tasked to draft plans such as Civil Works Safety and Action Plan. Workshops were also facilitated. At the end of the training the attendees presented their outputs.
The responsibility of the LGU does not stop once the project finished construction, most implementation are focused on construction only. There is seldom a maintenance program integrated in projects said Mammag.
The training is in accordance with PRDP’s aim to provide a holistic approach to the implementation of subprojects. PRDP aspires the sustainability of infra provided and the continuous growth of component groups. (Kayla Lingad, RPCO3 InfoACE)
