RPCO3 conducts Financial Management Training

The Regional Project Coordination Office 3 (RPCO 3) of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Luzon A Cluster conducted a Financial Management Training last May 18-20 2016 at the Eurotel Hotel, Angeles, Pampanga. The training aimed to provide the participants guidance on the Financial Management in implementing, accounting for, and reporting on the operations of the Department of Agriculture‘s Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).The budget and finance officers of the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales attended the 3-day training.

The event was intended to strengthen the participants regarding the importance of recording in the books of accounts and records, preparation of financial reports/ statements and the timely submission of the required financial reports.

RPCO3 Alternate Focal Person Gil David presented the updates regarding the PRDP’s projects and budgets.  He also urged the participants from LGUs to continue identifying potential subprojects for their respective provinces.

Aside from presenting the importance of Implementation Management Agreement (IMA), a hands-on training was also conducted. Luzon Cluster A Project Support Office or PSO Accountant Angela Baltazar and PSO Finance Analyst Irene Cabrera facilitated the hands-on training, particularly in the filling-up IMA for the I-BUILD and I-REAP Components. The filled-up IMA were then submitted to RPCO3, as the training output of the participants from LGUs. (Dianne M. Lapuz, RPCO3 InfoACE)
