RPCO 3, PSO PREPARE FOR 3RD VIRTUAL WORLD BANK MISSION

Date Published: May 19, 2021

Capintalan, NUEVA ECIJA – The Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 3) together with the Project Support Office (PSO) are getting ready for the virtual tour of subprojects by conducting several field documentation and interviews for the upcoming 12TH World Bank Implementation Support Mission (WBISM) on May 24, 2021, which is now its third virtual conference since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

On May 5, 2021 technical staff from the RPCO 3 and PSO led by North Luzon Deputy Director Elma Mananes paid a courtesy visit to Carrangalan Mayor Mary Abad to inform that the enterprise to be presented in the WBISM is the Turmeric and Ginger Production, Marketing and Processing of the Samahang Kababaihan Ng Capintalan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SKC-MPC) situated in Capitalan, here.

Delighted with the opportunity, Abad has agreed to document the enterprise as a way to promote good practices and effective methods used by the cooperative that paved the way to their success.

The team was assisted by Municipal Project Management Implementing Unit (MPMIU) Head Greg Alputan and High-Value Crop Development Program (HVCDP) Coordinator Joemar Nantes gathering insights and video footage of the actual process that takes place in the enterprise.

Since the SKC-MPC is composed mainly of women from the indigenous community, the documentation will also provide awareness on women empowerment underlining shared responsibility regardless of gender, and their immense contribution in the society for sustainable development.

In relation to the WBISM, a 30-minute audio visual presentation of one (1) I-REAP enterprise and one (1) I-BUILD infrastructure project package by the PSO-InfoACE will be presented to the WB Team on May 25, 2021. (MA. REINA LEN G. LUNA, RPCO3 InfoACE)
