RPCO 3, PSO HOLD 1ST QUARTER ASSESSMENT, TARGET DISBURSEMENT MEETING

Magalang, PAMPANGA – The Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 3) together with the Project Support Office (PSO) led the 1st Quarter Assessment and Discussion on 2nd Quarter Targets as a preparation for the upcoming 12th World Bank Implementation Support Mission (WBISM) held on May 4, 2021 at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) Research Office Station (ROS), here.

RPCO 3 Regional Project Director Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz Jr. addressed the meeting with an opening remark to motivate the accomplishment of the team despite the adverse impact of the current pandemic in the country.

“We do hope that this second quarter we can deliver our targets and provide catch-up plans specifically with the I-REAP to deliver our target disbursement on the set deadline on June 30, 2021. Again, let’s all put our best foot forward so we can accomplish our agreed targets,” Dr. Lapuz added.

Meanwhile, PSO North Luzon Deputy Project Director Elma Mananes presented the updates on the Summary of Disbursement for the Original Loan (OL) and Additional Financing (AF-1).

“We requested this meeting to access our performance during the first quarter and also to strategize how we can catch-up on the targets that were not realized,” she said.

Mananes also mentioned the need to present the checklist from the I-BUILD as required for the issuance of No Objection Letter (NOL 1) for the Additional Financing (AF-2).

The meeting provided strategies and plans to speed up disbursement performance to positively meet targets every quarter for the year.

Among the presenters who cited the accomplishment and current status of their respective components/units are RPCO I-PLAN Planning Officer Mario Somera, I-REAP Enterprise Development Management Specialist (EDMS) Maricel Dullas, I-BUILD Rural Infrastructure Engineer Jun Clinton Gonzales and Procurement Officer Gab Cubillas.

Also, updates on financial status were discussed by PSO Financial Analyst Jason Salazar while PSO I-BUILD Component Head Engineer Ernesto Pitok presented current status of proposed subprojects and necessary documents that need to be submitted for compliance.

Looking ahead, RPCO 3 Action Officer Gil G. David assured to finish all proposed projects on time which are intended for implementation in 2022.

“I hope for the best effort from all of us to meet our targets both for I-BUILD and I-REAP. We will do our part to achieve them. Thank you for your participation today,” David ended.
