To address important concerns on the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) and update Local Government Unit partners, the Regional Project Coordination Office 3 (RPCO 3) spearheaded a coordination meeting on May 13, 2015 at Oasis Hotel Clark, Pampanga.

PRDP Luzon-A Cluster Project Support Office Director Andrew B. Villacorta challenged the Provincial Project Management and Implementation Units (PPMIUs) to make the most out of the Project in order to uphold and promote the well-being of the farmers and the agriculture sector in general.

He also urged the attendees to work harder and double their effort, and to maintain a good and productive coordination with the local government units.

PRDP RPCO 3 Focal Person Crispulo G. Bautista said, “I urge everyone to set their own targets for the next batches of projects to be approved, especially now that the allocated fund of PRDP is nearing full-utilization.”

He also assured the (PPMIU) to continue identifying potential subprojects for their provinces.

“Rest assured that the entire RPCO staff will help you along the way until the realization and approval of your subprojects,” he continued.

RPCO 3 has lined up a series of workshops, such as joint business plan reviews, e-VSA trainings, and procurement workshops, among others, that will help the PPMIUs in producing feasible and successful project proposals.

RPCO 3 has also hired key consultants that will assist in identifying and monitoring subprojects, including rural infrastructure engineers and other technical and administrative staff.  (Mark Erron San Mateo, InfoACE RPCO 3)
