CAGAYAN DE ORO – The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10) through the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) approved six subprojects under the Intensified Building Up of Infrastructure and Logistics Development (IBUILD) on December 3, 2020 in this city.
The RPAB, headed by DA-10 Regional Executive Director and DA-PRDP 10 Project Director Carlene C. Collado, CPA, gave the go signal for the approval of the six subprojects, provided that all the comments and revisions are complied by the concerned LGUs.
These subprojects include the Construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer in Brgy. Andil with an estimated cost of Php 8,650, 000.00; Construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer with Cold Storage in Barangay Lala Proper with an estimated project cost of Php 8,800,000.00, and Concreting of Mabuhay – San Isidro Upper Pendolunan – Tenazas Dao FMR with a proposed length of 4.7 km and estimated project cost of 80,600,000.00 all from Lala, Lanao del Norte.
An FMR subproject dubbed as Rehabilitation and Concreting of Sumalsag – Comocomo – Mindagat – Lumbatan FMR was also presented by LGU Malitbog, Bukidnon with a proposed length of 12.080 km and an estimated project cost of Php 199,134,353.96.
Meanwhile, the LGU Kapatagan in Lanao del Norte, who presented via video conferencing, also proposed for the construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer in Barangay Suso and Barangay Mahayahay with an estimated project cost of Php 8,000,000 each.
On the other hand, Director Collado further encouraged the respective local government units to hasten the compliance of the lacking documents for the approval of these subprojects that are expected to be implemented next year. The realization of these projects will help boost the productivity of the farmers and will open economic opportunities in the respective barangays.
These subprojects will be endorsed by RPAB 10 to the Project Support Office (PSO) Mindanao for further review, and it will then be forwarded to the National Project Coordinating Office (NPCO) for final approval.
Present to serve as members of RPAB are Mario Jamis of Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Council – Misamis Oriental (PAFC MisOr), Donna Jane Rojo of Department of Trade and Industry 10 (DTI 10), Vanessa Grace Delloso of Department of Public Works and Highways 10 (DPWH 10) and Engr. Noel Doria of Department of Interior and Local Government 10 (DILG 10) who joined the said review via online. #
