P9.5 Million other infra turns over to Sto. Tomas

(December 16, 2021) The “Sto. Tomas Organic Production Center with Common Service Facility” subproject was officially turned over to the Municipality of Sto. Tomas in Municipal Agricultural Development Center (MADC) Brgy. Bobongon, Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte in a ceremony earlier today.
The P9.5 million subproject includes one (1) unit rice solar dryer, two (2) units cacao solar dryer, one (1) unit fermentation facility, one (1) unit vermin storage, one (1) unit composting beds with sheds, and one (1) unit warehouse.
This infrastructure support from the Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project is targeted at increasing the market value of corn, rice, and cacao, reduced post harvest losses, and generate additional jobs to the residents in the community.
RPCO 11 Deputy Project Director Marila Corpuz, in behalf of PRDP Project Director and Regional Executive Dir. Abel James I. Monteagudo, gave a short message to the beneficiaries where she emphasized the goal of the department which is to uplift the living conditions of the farmers.
