Majayjay potable water system project, approved by DA-PRDP RPAB-4A for DA-PRDP Scale-Up

The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) Calabarzon approved a Level II Potable Water System project for the DA-PRDP Scale-Up, the expanded version of the DA-PRDP. This is the first project to be funded under the DA-PRDP Scale-Up in the Calabarzon region.

The project, Rehabilitation and Improvement of Level II Potable Water System in Majayjay, Laguna, seeks to improve the quality of life of Majayjay locals in 8 barangays by providing them better access to potable water for everyday use and agricultural activities. It will cost Php 90,726,000.00 and will be implemented by the local government of Majayjay.

“Malaki ang maiitulong ng proyektong ito lalong-lalo na sa local agri sector ng Majayjay, particularly vegetable production. Bukod pa dito, makakatulong rin ito sa pag-improve ng health ng mga mamamayan, tourism, at higit lalo ang economic development ng bayan,” shared DA Regional Field Office Calabarzon Director at DA-PRDP RPAB Calabarzon Chairperson Milo delos Reyes.

Present in the activity were Majayjay Mayor Romeo Amorado and the following RPAB representatives from various government agencies: Engr. Felicitas Reyes (DPWH-4A), Cynthia Rozaldo (DENR-4A), Flordeliza Maleon (RAFC-4A), Maribeth Ramos (BFAR-4A), John Joseph Vasquez (DILG-4A), and Julieta Tadiosa (DTI-4A). #
