MAFAR-PRDP CONTINUES TO EXPAND INVESTMENT FOR RURAL ENTERPRISES

Tawi-Tawi – The Philippine Rural Development Project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform crossed the islands in Tawi-Tawi to validate the project proposals of the Proponent Groups (PG) on March 21-24, 2022.
The activity intends to expand the investment for rural enterprises for agri-fishery productivity, particularly on seaweeds production and marketing enterprise projects.
A total of eight Association of seaweeds farmers from the municipality of South Ubian and one cooperative from Bongao, Tawi-Tawi were successfully validated.
After the validation, if qualified, the Proponent Groups will then receive a confirmation from the Project Support Office, and then will follow with the conduct of business planning workshop.
Moreover, the said project focuses on the increase of productivity and marketability of agriculture and fishery products as well the household incomes. (Info MAFAR BARMM)
