Kalinga breaks ground for new DA-PRDP farm road project
The road to development continues in Tanudan, Kalinga, as the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), together with the provincial government of Kalinga, officially broke ground the Improvement of Banneng-Darulog-Bawac Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) on April 22, 2022.
The 6.168-km FMR, with a cost of PhP138.62 million, will cover barangay Callaccad in Tabuk City, and barangays Dupligan and Lay-asan in the municipality of Tanudan. It is expected to benefit around 479 households within its influence area.
In his message, Kalinga Governor Engineer Ferdinand B. Tubban challenged the involvement of the community in overseeing the implementation of the FMR subproject.
“Dawatek metlaeng dagiti umili nga dakayo iti mangbantay ta dakayo iti kangkangrunaan nga makakita iti panaka aramid na. Ket nu ada dagiti makita u nga concerns maipanggep iti panaka implementar na, panga-asi u ta idanun u kini kapitan, wenno kanyami idjay probinsya tapnu iti kasta ket maikan tayo ti na-an anay nga solusyon na,” Governor Tubban said.

And if there are concerns in regards the implementation, please reach out to the Punong Barangay or to the provincial office, so that it will be properly addressed.)
Governor Tubban further expressed his gratitude to the project affected persons for consenting their properties that will be affected in the road improvement.
“Agyaman kami kencongratulations kadakayo ta ti panpanunuten yo ket jay pagsayaatan han lang nga tadta nga panawen ngem iti sumarsaruno pay nga tawen ken sumarsaruno nga henerasyon,” added Governor Tubban.

Representing DA-CAR Regional Executive Director Cameron P. Odsey, DA-CAR Information Officer Jovelyn Valenciano lauded the province of Kalinga for having been a commendable implementer of DA-PRDP subprojects.
Present during the groundbreaking ceremony are the subproject beneficiaries, representatives from the Project Contractor and from the DA-PRDP Regional Project Coordination Office-CAR, and several officials from the Provincial Local Government of Kalinga.
