Introduction of MAFAR-PRDP to MOLE

The Regional Project Coordination Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RPCO-BARMM) introduced the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) to the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE).

On Tuesday, June 29, Tong Pinguiaman Ph.D., Chief of AMAD and Focal person of I-Reap component of PRDP, led the activity at MAFAR conference room, BGC.

The RPCO-BARMM presented the PRDP to MOLE to strengthen and develop viable agri-fishery based enterprises through efficient value chains of essential agricultural and fishery products in targeted program areas for the rural workers.

Pinguiaman stated, “We invited the agencies as part of our partners in PRDP to improve the skills and enterprise development of the organized group that we are targeting. Also, Mole already had a certified association so that MAFAR-PRDP can validate the authenticity of the said association.”

The Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) is a six-year national project under the Department of Agriculture (DA) that aims to establish a modern, value chain-oriented, and climate-resilient agriculture and fisheries sector. The Project has four (4) major components the I-PLAN, I-BUILD, I-REAP, and I-SUPPORT.

Four key officials of MOLE, namely; Maratul Estino, Deputy Minister, Engr. Dong Anayatin, Director General, Abdulrakman Nur, Chief Labor and Employment Officer, Adnan Mangodato, Labor and Employment Officer II, and Abdullah Dipatuan, Chief Admin Officer of Cooperative Development Authority/ Cooperative and Social Enterprises Authority- BARMM attended the said activity.

“Importante ang pakikipagtulungan ng bawat ministries sa programa ng PRDP. Isa ito sa mga posibleng programa na makakatulong sa mga association na nakarehistro sa MOLE,” Estino said. (MAFAR-BARMM)
