INSPECTION OF GOAT MULTIPLIER IN NUEVA ECIJA HELD
Cuyapo, NUEVA ECIJA – The Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO3) in cooperation with the Project Support Office (PSO) conducted a joint inspection of the P6.7-million Goat Multiplier and other facilities in Brgy. Bonifacio on March 18, 2021, here.
According to I-BUILD Rural Infrastructure Engineer Mary Joyce Quiros, assigned to supervise the project, stated that currently it has attained 50% in its physical accomplishment.
“The construction of the goat multiplier has registered 20% while 30% for the attached facilities such as equipment room, trading post, field office and garage,” she added.
Engr. Quiros quipped that a well-established goat multiplier plays a significant role in the overall production to ensure higher production, maximum profit and good health for goats.
Also, the said facility is seen to help the cooperative increase their yearly revenues with a probability of least 30% in raising goats.
Funded under the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), the subproject is set to be fully completed by the second quarter of this year to as a support to the growing goat industry in this province.
Also present during the inspection are RPCO 3 Business Development Officer Glory Ann Herrera, RPCO 3 Social Environmental and Safeguards (SES) Officer Jesusa Surla, RPCO 3 Geomapping and Governance GIS Data Officer Alvin Mariano, PSO Geomapping and Governance Unit Head Jay Herrera, representatives from the Bonifacio Multipurpose Cooperative and the contractor.
