I-REAP HOLDS ENTERPRISE ASSESSMENT IN TARLAC

La Paz, TARLAC – The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) through the I-REAP Component conducted a four-day assessment to the enterprise subproject – Custom Service Facility of Caut Farmers Field School (FFS) Marketing Cooperative and Laungcupang FFS Producers Cooperative held separately on April 20-21 and April 22-23, 2021.

Specifically, a Business Process Review (BPR) is a tool used to evaluate and review current enterprise operations management and structure to make sure it can support not only current, but projected operations and sustainability.  Also, part of the process is gathering knowledgeable people from each area of the operations and assessing every aspect perceptively.

According to I-REAP Business Development Officer Carissa Padilla-Cabubus, the objectives of the activity aim to assess five aspects of the enterprise operation in terms of management, marketing, technical, financial and sustainability.

Cabubus also stressed the activity is a way to determine some strong and weak points of the enterprise, at the same time to be able to identify emerging positive outcomes of the operation.

To conclude, suggestions and recommendations of the I-REAP technical team were acknowledged likewise action plans and capacity development plans are to be integrated on the plans of the cooperative and will be monitored consistently. (MA. REINA LEN G. LUNA, RPCO3 InfoACE)
