Visayas Cluster – World Bank First Implementation Support Mission

The last leg of the World Bank First Implementation Support was held in Bohol.
The program on September 14 started with the opening of the exhibit, which features early success stories in Region 7 as well as native products of Bohol.
During the program, DPD Arnel De Mesa presented the overall updates of the PRDP, while PSO Visayas Director Roy Abaya presented the updates for the Visayas cluster.
PPMIUs of Negros Occidental and Bohol also presented their learnings and experience in using the tools under the PRDP such as the PCIP and VCA.
The program was followed by a press conference and contractors’ meeting. There was also a breakout session of components and units in the afternoon.
The group visited proposed and implemented projects in Bohol the next day (September 15, 2015). for the I-REAP subproject, the group visited the proposed Bohol Dairy Processing and Marketing in Ubay, Bohol and newly-implemented Rehabilitation of San Agustin-Canmaya Diot FMR project in Sagbayan, Bohol.
A separate group also visited a GEF site with proposed Small Livelihood Project (SLP) in Talibon, Bohol, which is situated on Donavon Bank.
The group from PRDP, PPMIU Bohol, and World Bank consultants, had an interaction and consultation with the proponent groups for the SLP in Talibon and other municipalities around Donavon Bank.
On September 16, 2015, the mission in Visayas was concluded with an exit meeting, where World Bank consultants and PRDP personnel and officials discussed and presented their observation and analysis on the implementation of PRDP in the cluster.
