To push forward the I-REAP Component activities as well as thresh out issues and concerns in the implementation of enterprise development interventions of the PRDP, I-REAP personnel from the NPCO, PSOs, and RPCOs recently convened to discuss such matters.

It was headed by I-REAP Component Head and DA Asst. Secretary for Agribusiness and Marketing Leandro Gazmin and Alternate Unit Head Leny Pecson.

The event was also attended by PRDP Director and DA Usec. for Operations, Agribusiness and Marketing Emerson Palad and PRDP Deputy Director Arnel De Mesa.

The group was welcomed by South Cotabato Governor Daisy Avance-Fuentes and DA Region 12 RTD Zaldy Boloron.

The group also visited the South Cotabato I-REAP sub-project in Polomolok, which will support the production and marketing of cassava granules in the region, with the Polo Samahang Nayon as the Lead Proponent Group.

Earlier, the World Bank lauded the sub-project’s business plan as world-class and good example for other future sub-projects to be proposed under the PRDP. (Photos by, Kathrino Resurrrecion, Charmela Ates)
