The First National project Advisory Board meeting was held to orient NPAB members about the Project as well as pass resolutions needed for the PRDP implementation.

It was attended by NPAB members comprised of ATI, BAFS, BAI, BAR, BFAR, BSWM, BPI, ACPC, PhilFIDA, NDA, PCIC, PhilMech, PCAF, PFDA, and SRA.

The NPAB’s roles are to provide overall direction and oversight for project implementation and to serve as policy-making body that guides the planning implementation of Project activities.

During the meeting, Secretary Proceso J. Alcala told participants, “I hope this meeting will establish a core group of individuals who are experienced in rural development initiatives for our projects to soar high and deliver its goal to the fishers and farmers.

Each of you has your own specialization that is necessary in planning and implementing rural development projects within our sector—from crops management, fisheries, training and extension services, and more—which form part of our total PRDP package.”
