Four I-REAP subprojects in MIMAROPA set to be completed by the end of 2020
Three (3) enterprise development subprojects of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) in Oriental Mindoro and another one (1) in Marinduque are currently under procurement and expected to be completed before the end of the year 2020.
In Oriental Mindoro, these subprojects include the Veggie Canton Noodles and Veggie Snacks Production and Marketing microenterprise amounting to P909,340.00 which was proposed by the Samahan ng Lingap Pamilyang Pinamalenyo (SNLPP). In addition to their processing center and processing equipment, the group is also expected to receive tools and supplies for their operations.
Another microenterprise is the Improvement of Community Factory for Nipa Vinegar and Nipa Sugar Production in Calapan City of the Samahan ng Taong Nagtataguyod ng Produktong Natural (STANProN) with a total cost of P1,584,248.96. The group has already received two units of double jacketed kettle for their production and is just awaiting for the delivery of their packaging materials.
The Turmeric and Ginger Processing microenterprise, on the other hand, was proposed by the Calima Socio-Economic Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CASEMPCO) worth P1,399,970.00. Their planting materials for yellow ginger and processing equipment have already been delivered and the group is likewise just awaiting for the delivery of their materials for packaging.
Lastly is the Marinduque Coco Geonet Production and Trading worth P4,563,262.92 which is a small enterprise subproject located in the Municipality of Boac, Marinduque and proposed by the Tanikala ng Pagkakaisa Multi-purpose Cooperative (TPMPC). The cooperative already received one truck and one fabricated tricycle and is still expected to be given their production tools and machineries which will be used for decorticating, winnowing, twinning, weaving, and baling coco geonet.
At present, the PRDP MIMAROPA has already completed five out of 11 enterprise subprojects in Oriental Mindoro and two out of five enterprise subprojects in Marinduque.
