Enterprise Dev’t component reviews Region 6 regular subprojects
Eight (8) regular enterprise subprojects under Region 6 have undergone rigorous deliberation and study to fast track the issuance of a No Objection Letter (NOL) to be granted by the World Bank.
The Enterprise Development (I-REAP) component of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) in the Visayas cluster recently held a Joint Technical Review of the Regular Subprojects in Region 6 as presented by the Regional Project Coordinating Office at the Days Hotel, Iloilo City from Oct. 27 to Oct. 30.
“We are now at a crucial stage where every regular subprojects in Region 6 are under careful eyes and every details are scrutinized for clarification. Of course, we aim that every subprojects will be qualified so that we may touch and enrich more lives,” said Project Support Office – Visayas Cluster I-REAP Component Head Norlito Ibañez.
Representatives from various Provincial Project Monitoring and Implementing Unit in the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Negros Occidental and Guimaras together with the proponent groups, presented their respective business plans which were open for deliberation, comments and suggestions from the National Project Coordinating Office (NPCO).
Meanwhile, delegates from the NPCO are I-REAP Consultants Patrick Belisario and Chato Cadorna, together with I-REAP Alternate Component Head Lenny Pecson.
The regular subprojects presented include:
- Shellfish Production and Marketing (Capiz)
- Oyster and Mussel Production and Marketing (Aklan)
- Rehabilitation of Coconut Oil Mill for the production of Small Scale Coco-based Crude Oil and Copra Cakes (Aklan)
- Native Chicken Restocking/ Production and Marketing (Aklan)
- Goat Breeding and Marketing (Antique)
- Abaca Fiber Trading (Antique)
- Negros Muscuvado Marketing Enterprise (Negros Occidental)
- Negros Swine Integrated Enterprise (Negros Occidental
