DA-PRDP STARTS PILOT TEST OF ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS MONITORING SYSTEM

Date Published: May 20, 2021

Moncada, TARLAC – The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) thru the I-REAP Component begins the pilot testing of the Enterprise Operations Monitoring System (EOMS) to Sapang Multipurpose Cooperative (MPC) held on May 12, 2021, here.

The pilot test was spearheaded by the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 3) in cooperation with the Project Support Office (PSO) to introduce a new monitoring form that will be used to consolidate data from the cooperative to supervise its operation.

Through an online platform, I-REAP Enterprise Development Management Specialist (EDMS) Roxan Alcantara of the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), delivered her opening remarks where she stressed out that the EOMS is a tool that will provide convenience to the cooperative by managing all data in a single system as a way to gauge the overall operation of an enterprise.

A twenty-two (22) form excel sheet was introduced by the I-REAP technical staff to be filled-out and navigated by the cooperative.

The said forms were answered progressively by representatives from the cooperative with proper guidance and direction from the RPCO 3 and PSO staff.

Meanwhile, PSO I-REAP EDMS Jamesiah Lompero cited the systematic management of the cooperative as a remarkable practice wherein every single revenue and expenditure are recorded to oversee its general operation.

“In the near future, this will be the system that we are going to use as a monitoring form. All data will then be one click in the Management Information System and readily available for download,” she added.

The DA-PRDP is pleased with this kind of development as it functions to efficiently manage the flourishing operations of every enterprise as part of its commitment to achieve sustainability and productivity.

Also present to provide technical assistance during the pilot testing are RPCO 3 Business Development Officer (BDO) Carissa Padilla-Cabubus, RPCO 3 I-REAP BDO Syrah Sagun, RPCO 3 Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer Cristina Domenden, RPCO 3 M&E Associate Rodel Cordova, RPCO 3 Economist Frederick Godoy and the Provincial Project Management Implementing Unit (PPMIU) of Tarlac.

The said activity was done under health and safety measures and other participants joined virtually thru Webex. (MA. REINA LEN G. LUNA, RPCO3 InfoACE)
