DA-PRDP South Luzon recognized as best performing cluster
The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) National Project Coordination Office (NPCO) recognized the Project Support Office (PSO) South Luzon as the best-performing cluster for exemplary project implementation during the NPCO-PSOs First Quarter Coordination Meeting on March 21-24, 2023 in Talisay, Batangas.
The South Luzon Cluster bagged 11 awards based on the actual performance and shared efforts of the PSO, RPCOs, and project partners toward attaining the physical and financial commitment in FY 2022.
During the activity, DA-PRDP PSO South Luzon Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Kristine Peralta presented a brief overview of the cluster’s physical and financial accomplishments as of February 28, 2023.
Under the I-PLAN Component, the cluster has 48 Value Chain Analysis (with No Objection Letter), nine (9) updated VCAs, nine (9) updated Provincial Commodity Investment Plans, and seven (7) completed subprojects under I-PLAN 1.2.
The cluster has 46 approved subprojects under Original Loan (OL) for the I-BUILD component, 41 of which have been completed with an 86% disbursement rate of PhP2.53 billion. For the First Additional Financing (AF-1), the component has already completed the 11 approved subprojects, costing PhP1.50 billion. Meanwhile, PhP1.32 billion was disbursed (59% disbursement rate) under the Second Additional Financing.
As for the I-REAP component, the cluster has already completed 76 subprojects out of the 77 approved subprojects under OL, which has a 98% disbursement rate amounting to PhP382.69 million.
Moreover, the Global Environment Facility has a 100% disbursement rate for Marine Protected Areas and Microenterprise projects worth PhP38.62 million and PhP15.35 million, respectively.
In recognition of these achievements, National Project Director Asec. Arnel V. De Mesa and DA-PRDP National Deputy Project Director Shandy M. Hubilla, together with the component and unit heads, presented the following awards to the South Luzon cluster:
