DA-PRDP RPCO Bicol holds pre-bid conference for PhP230M-worth FMR in Dimasalang, Masbate

The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) Bicol conducted a pre-bid conference for the PhP229.97 million-worth Concreting of the Gregorio Aliño to Cabanoyoan Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Dimasalang, Masbate on January 18, 2021. 

The activity was conducted through a blended meeting with DA-PRDP Project Support Office (PSO) South Luzon Procurement Unit Head Michael Gregory Vargas, DA-PRDP RPCO Bicol Procurement Officer Engineer Jesti Bergantin, the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of the Municipality of Dimasalang, Masbate headed by Chairman Engr. Joseph Bunan, and the Municipal Project Management and Implementation Unit (MPMIU) at the local government unit’s municipal hall in Barangay Poblacion Dimasalang, Masbate.  

Vargas oriented the participants regarding the timelines and content of the Invitation to bid (ITB), while Bergantin discussed the eligibility and technical requirements contained in the bidding documents.

The 16.240-kilometer Concreting of Gregorio Aliño to Cabanoyoan FMR in Dimasalang is among the approved subprojects in Masbate to be funded under the DA-PRDP’s Second Additional Financing. The said FMR subproject will upgrade the existing earth and gravel road traversing 12 barangays within the road influence area (RIA) and will connect 14, 199 population, particularly coconut farmers, to the market.
