DA-PRDP, PLGU Isabela break ground for P252M Digumased-Ayod farm to market road in Dinapigue, Isabela
Dinapigue, Isabela – Officials from the Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project (DA PRDP) Coordination Office 2 (RPCO2), Provincial Government of Isabela, and the local government unit here initiated the groundbreaking of the Digumased-Ayod, an 8.3km Farm-to-market road with a 200m bridge to help boost the aromatic pigmented rice industry.
The project cost is Php 252, 529, 298. 57 and to be implemented in a cost-sharing manner where Php 202, 023, 438.86 comes from the loan proceeds; Php 25, 252, 929.86 from the Philippine government, and Php 25, 252, 929. 86 from said LGU, respectively. The subproject will soon serve a population of 1,635 along the road influence area.
Rose Mary G. Aquino, RPCO 2 Deputy Project Director, said the beneficiaries are fortunate to have a project in this coastal town. “Sana ang Bayan ng Dinapigue pagkatapos ng proyektong ito ay DINAPIGUElan ang pag-asenso ng ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda.”
Vice Mayor Reynaldo Derije recalled that this project was a dream that became a reality for the people of Dinapigue.
For his part, Mayor Vicente D Mendoza is grateful for the subproject that the DA PRDP has implemented, adding that it will significantly help the farmers and fishers.
