DA-PRDP North Luzon I-REAP Component holds year-end assessment
To evaluate its performance and set and align targets for the coming year, the I-REAP Component of the DA-PRDP North Luzon cluster held a year-end assessment and workshop in Baler, Aurora from December 5-7, 2023.
The activity likewise intends to review the roles of support components and units and the process of identifying, validating, and approving enterprise subprojects to be implemented under the PRDP Scale-Up.
It was participated in by I-REAP personnel from the PSO and four regions in North Luzon, together with representatives from other components and units, and representatives from the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO).
Among the topics discussed were strategies to fast-track the completion of Second Additional Financing (AF2) enterprise subprojects and the guidelines of each concerned component and unit in implementing PRDP Scale-Up enterprise subprojects.
In her message, PSO Deputy Project Director Elma Mananes commended the component for their performance and accomplishments, especially in the completion of Original Loan subprojects, and urged them to continue what they have started to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of subprojects under the AF2.
All AF2 subprojects are encouraged to be completed before their expected deadline of physical implementation in December next year.
Currently, the cluster has 17 approved AF2 subprojects amounting to Php 612.19 million. Two of which have already been completed worth Php 105.27. These are Highland Vegetables Hauling and Delivery Services of Apanberang Farmers Association in CAR and Establishment of Onion Cold Storage Facility and Marketing Enterprise of Katipunan ng mga Samahang Magsisibuyas ng Nueva Ecija (KASAMNE) in Central Luzon. ### (Ericson M.
