The Department of Agriculture- Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10) through the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit and the members of the Regional Operation and Maintenance Audit Team (ROMAT) conducted a two-day orientation and training on operation and maintenance to the Local Government Units of Misamis Oriental on October 20-21, 2021.

The purpose of the said training is to capacitate the LGUs with the proper ways and what to be mindful for when conducting audit reports such as the Operations and Maintenance Audit System (OMAS) towards their respective subprojects. The training also includes sessions such as early detection of road deterioration and the application of preventive maintenance before further damage occurs.

 This is also conducted to revisit their signed arrangement in the Implementation Management Agreement (IMA) attached during the project’s feasibility study stage and after its turn-over. Through this, the LGUs are expected to have their own action plan in operationalizing and maintaining their concerned PRDP subprojects.

Serving as the resource speaker during the said training is Engr. Danessa N. Llagas, IBUILD Rural Infrastructure Specialist of Project Support Office Mindanao. 

The said training was participated by LGUs with on-going and turned-over PRDP subprojects which include the municipalities of Initao, Kinoguitan, Salay, and Villanueva and the city of Gingoog.#
