DA-8 adopts web-based tracking system in project implementation

Tacloban City – Things are a lot better when made simple.  Thanks to the online document tracking system established to enhance organizational management and improve project implementation.

“This system is initially being used in the implementation of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), and may soon be adopted by the Department of Agriculture-8 to track transactions involving official documents, and as as a tool for better implementation management of its programs,” Department of Agriculture-8’s Regional Executive Director Leo P. Caneda disclosed.

“It will help us in terms of recording the status of processing of official documents routed within the DA RFO 8, its operating units and, field stations and to track documents easily,” he said.

He pointed out, “As a service-oriented agency implementing various program/projects, its operation involves voluminous critical documents with timelines for processing in order to promptly deliver our interventions and of course, this system will help us be more efficient.”

Recently, some key components personnel underwent capacity-building on the use of the document tracking system facilitated by the PRDP Project Support Office for Visayas. This is in preparation for the eventual use of the system by the DA RFO 8 at least initially starting from its personnel directly involved in the PRDP. (RGMacapañasInfoACE RPCO 8)
