Bayanihan by the sea
Members of the proponent group Manlambus Fisherfolk Development Cooperative for the fish corral rehabilitation and fish trading support based in Escalante City, Negros Occidental under the enterprise development component, begin constructing the fish corral in the deeper portion of the municipal waters. Eight fathoms deep (one fathom is equivalent to six feet), the corral’s catching chamber will be 250 meters wide. Located some 480 meters from the shoreline, it will be able to catch larger fish, and species that have a higher commercial value, which will result in a higher income for the association members.
