PRDP C. Luzon finalizes 76 micro-enterprises
To prepare the 76 Small Livelihood Projects for approval under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), the I-REAP Component of the Regional Project Coordination Office 3 (RPCO3) spearheaded the review and Finalization of Small Livelihood Projects (SLPs) Proposal, that was attended by the Provincial Project Monitoring and Implementing Units (PPMIUs of Zambales, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bataan and Tarlac and the proponent groups last June 21-24, 2016 at Eurotel, Hotel, Angeles City, Pampanga.
RPCO3 I-REAP Business Development Specialist Maricel L. Dullas presented the revised SLP new project format in preparation for the presentation of the proponent groups to the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) . She also reiterated that the objectives of the projects should follow Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound (SMART) pattern.
“If you have questions regarding the proposals and documents to be submitted, don’t hesitate to ask your questions. This is the reason why we invited specialists and experts from the different project components and units in order to guide the participants regarding the important requirements and documents that should be included in a business plan,” she said.
“We should work as one in order for us to meet our goals and be open to any comments and suggestions for the improvement of your business plans,” she added.
RPCO3 Alternate Focal Person Gil David, who also took part in the workshop and critiquing of the write-ups, said that the PPMIUs and proponent groups of different provinces should take the opportunity in preparing their respective business plans because sooner or later SLP will be change to Micro-Enterprise Projects that should be in line with Value Chain Analysis (VCA) and Provincial Commodity Investment Plan (PCIP).
As of March 2016, Region 3 has prepared and proposed 64 enterprise development subprojects, all of which are RPAB-approved and waiting for the issuance of the No Objection Letter 1 (NOL1) from the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO) and Project Support Office (PSO).
