Date Published: August 5, 2015

Baguio City – The National Project Coordinating Office (NPCO), Project Support Office (PSO) Luzon A and the Regional Project Coordinating Office 3 (RPCO3) conducted a joint technical review for selected Investments in Rural Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Productivity (I-REAP) subprojects on July 13-17, 2015 at Igorot Lodge Hotel in this city.

In anticipation for the issuance of the No Objection Letter 1,  enterprise subprojects have been presented for review and thoroughly checked for compliance with the presence of key personnel from IREAP and IBUILD components, Social Environmental Safeguards (SES), Procurement Unit, Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (RBME), Finance Unit, Geotagging and Governance Unit (GGU) and Economists group.

For the cost sharing of the enterprise subprojects, the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) will shoulder 80% of the total cost composed of loan proceeds from the World Bank, national government and provincial local government units. The proponent group shall provide the remaining 20% of the cost.

Through the provision of technical, financial and infrastructure support, the I-REAP component under the PRDP aims to strengthen and develop viable agri-fishery based enterprises through efficient value chains of key agricultural and fishery products in targeted project areas.
