ILOILO CITY – A big boost to the province of Negros Occidental, the issuance of No Objection Letter (NoL-2) by the NPCO for the construction of Brgy. Bug-ang to Sitio Magtuod to Sitio Vergara Farm to Market Road (FMR) of Municipality of Toboso, Negros Occidental amounting to P47,232,00.00 signals for the awarding of the subproject to the winning bidder.
According to Dir. Larry P. Nacionales, PRDP Project Director, the NOL2 was issued last April 10, 2015 upon submission of Bid Evaluation Report (BER) and other supporting documents relative to the subproject on March 30, 2015.
He stressed that the PLGU of Negros Occidental can now issue a notice of award to Silver Dragon Construction Lumber and Glass Supply being the winning bidder of the FMR project.
The implementation of the subproject for the concreting of the 4.10 km-gravel/earth road connecting Brgy. Bug-ang to Sitio Magtuod to Sitio Vergara will soon begin.
Nacionales added that PRDP FMR projects will reduce travel time of commuters, reduce transport losses and hauling expenses for agricultural products and enhance economic activity among service areas.
Deputy Director Ma. Theresa Solis said that series of screenings and evaluation of the FMR project proposal took place prior to the approval by the RPAB headed by Dir. Nacionales on July 09, 2014. The FMR subproject was issued NOL 1 by NPCO on November 21, 2014.
The issuance of NOL 2 was materialized through the joint effort of PSO Visayas, RPCO 6, PPMIU of Neg. Occidental and the LGU of the Municipality of Toboso. (JEEO & RSS II InfoACE RPCO 6)
