Central Luzon RPAB Approved Four FMR Subproject Proposals under PRDP I-BUILD Component
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The first deliberation of proposed PRDP subprojects in Region III by Regional Program Advisory Board (RPAB) for 2015 was held on January 23, at Orotel, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The RPAB approved and endorsed four (4) Farm to Market Roads (FMR) subprojects worth PhP 340,938,623.70 (LP, GOP & PLGU equity) with a total length of 34.78 kilometers. The total project beneficiaries with a total population of 27,406 with road influence area of 12,127 hectares of agricultural land. Provincial Project Management Implementing Unit (PPMIU) from Aurora, Bataan, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac presented a farm-to-market road (FMR) subproject proposal. Each team is well represented by PPMIU, and Municipal Local Government Unit as beneficiaries of the project.
The priority commodities supported by the project are coir and by-products for Aurora, sweet potato for Bataan and Tarlac and onion for Nueva Ecija. The proposed FMR projects will cater market accessibility; likewise, it will boost production to the priority commodities in the different barangays of Ma. Aurora, Aurora, Bagac, Bataan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija and Moncada, Tarlac. (Gil David/Rosemarie Quito Joson)
