DA-PRDP conducts joint technical review on broiler chicken VCA
The Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Regional Project Coordination Office 3 (RPCO 3) I-PLAN Component conducted a Joint Technical Review (JTR) on the Value Chain Analysis (VCA) for Broiler Chicken in Central Luzon on July 11, 2023, at the BAC Conference Room, New Department of Agriculture Building, Government Center, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The aim of the initiative was to validate the constraints and interventions that were identified during the Data Gathering and Stakeholders’ Consultation Workshop. It was done in preparation for the finalization of VCA for Broiler Chicken in Central Luzon.
Engr. Jerome Manuyag, RPCO 3 I-PLAN Planning Officer led the presentation of the review. The representatives were provided with an opportunity to assess and modify the plan according to the current requirements and priorities for enhancing the VCA.
Among the representatives were Regional Technical Director (RTD) of National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) Regional Technical Operation Center (RTOC) III Dr. Eduardo Oblena, Accreditation and Registration Section (ARS) Head Gregg Deculawan, RPCO III Action Officer and Engr. Michael Manansala, I-PLAN Planning Specialist Lordelyn Dela Cruz, I-BUILD Rural Infrastructure Engineer Michael Maglaque, Planning Officer Janelyn Golingo-Sioquim from DA-PRDP Project Support Office (PSO) Luzon A, I-REAP Organizational Development Officer Ma. Katherine Dayrit, and Head InfoAce Unit Ozanne Ono Allas.
The valuable information shared in this assessment will serve as the foundation for identifying key constraints that needed to be addressed and will ensure that the interventions, guided by the insights of the representatives, will be relevant to the specific needs of the finalization of VCA for Broiler Chicken in Central Luzon.
