As the newly appointed DA-PRDP Regional Project Director, Dr. Arthur D. Dayrit conducted monitoring visits to completed I-REAP or enterprise subprojects in Central Luzon, particularly in Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and Zambales from January to February 2023.

During his visits, Dayrit inspected the trading and custom service facilities and multiplier farms acquired by the proponent groups that support different commodities such as sweetpotato, aromatic and pigmented rice, mungbean, mango, ampalaya, onion, goat, and cattle.

Along with the staff from the I-REAP component, he sat down and discussed with the proponent groups and beneficiaries the good practices and challenges that they encountered in during the subprojects’ implementation. The discussions also helped to identify lessons learned that will improve the implementation of ongoing and future subprojects.

The dialogue also talked about further assistance such as capacity development and trainings for marketing and good agricultural practices, among others.

The visits were also closely coordinated with the respective Provincial Project Management and Implementation Units which are the provincial partners of the PRDP in supporting the proponent groups from the proposal up to the maintenance of the subprojects under the I-REAP component.
