In line with the goals of boosting farmers’ income and market reach through digital space, four (4) cooperatives, one from each region, showcased their agricultural products and processes on e-Merkado, the digital marketing strategy of the DA-PRDP North Luzon Cluster.

This was done through a virtual product exposition with Facebook as the primary social media platform to share, exhibit, and promote the products and commodities of the PRDP-supported farmer groups.

This strategy primarily aims to increase digital exposure or visibility and widen the market reach of the cooperatives in the online platform to attract more customers and/or potential investors to their business.

Over the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), the Sagada Arabica Coffee Growers and Processors Organization (SACGPO) from Sagada, Mountain Province featured their Arabica coffee products in dark and medium roast varieties. From the Cagayan Valley, the Buenavista Multi-Purpose Cooperative from Ambalatungan, Santiago City, Isabela shared their peanut products, including shelled, peanut butter, roasted, and chocolate coated peanut bars.

Coming from the Ilocos Region, the Integrated Small Fishpond Owners and Lessees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ISFOL) from Binmaley, Pangasinan displayed their various food products out of milkfish or “bangus”, which include marinated, dried, smoked, and lumpia. Lastly, from the Central Luzon, the Triple B Charantin Enteprise from San Ildefonso, Bulacan exhibited their Dried Ampalaya Tea.

The virtual product exposition included a series of posting of their product details, price and processes through posters and video presentations on Project Support Office (PSO) North Luzon Facebook page.

This initiative was jointly conducted by the I-REAP Component and InfoACE Units from the PSO and counterparts from the four Regional Project Coordination Offices.
