Cabarroguis, Quirino — Regional Executive and Project Director Narciso A. Edillo and Quirino Gov. Dakila Cua broke ground on the 7.20km farm-to-market road traversing the barangays of Gundaway in Cabarroguis and Villa Rose and Doña Imelda in Diffun, on March 8, 2023.

Under the Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project (DA PRDP) Ibuild Component, the project will directly impact some 2,627 residents and 504 households with a contract amount of Php 63 445 429.

Edillo said the province’s contribution to the coffee and banana industry helps the region for a steady supply; thus, the FMR will again bolster and boost the development in these two towns.

He said the project is committed to continuing the quality infrastructure since the province receives PRDP. “This is another milestone for us to highlight the project’s success, and I salute the local government of Quirino for the never-ending support to our farmers.”

Once finished, Cua hopes for a competitive price for agricultural produce since farmers’ plight includes transportation problems on the road influence area.

He said the road would lead to a better life, and access to essential services would ease. Cua thanked the DA PRDP for another project implementation in the far-flung areas of Quirino. (By Mark Anthony M. Gallibu/InfoAce Cagayan Valley)
