PRDP Mindanao conducted their 3rd Mindanao Cluster Awards at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City on March 8, 2023.
The annual awards ceremony capped off the Mindanao Cluster Coordination meeting which also marked the first time that all Regional Project Coordination Offices (RPCO) and the Project Support Office (PSO) Mindanao were able to meet face-to-face in years.
The PRDP Mindanao Cluster Awards was instituted in 2021 as a way of recognizing the outstanding efforts and accomplishments of the Cluster’s RPCOs and regional partners in a calendar year that contribute to the attainment of the Project’s overall development objectives. Since then, it has served as an incentive for the RPCOs to perform at a high level throughout the year to stand out within the Cluster. The achievements of these outstanding RPCOs and LGUs are testament to their dedication and commitment to help uplift the lives of farmers and fisherfolk in Mindanao.
In his message, PSO Mindanao Project Director Abel James I. Monteagudo congratulated all the awardees and encouraged everyone to continue to excel in their project implementation and to keep their collaborative efforts among the different components and units and their partners and project stakeholders.
“We have a lot of challenges ahead of us with two additional projects on board with DA-PRDP, but let’s take this as a beautiful challenge because it would mean more farmers and fisherfolk will be benefitting from this,” said Dir. Monteagudo. “Congratulations to all our awardees for tonight’s activity and keep up the good work.”
For the third straight year, Region 13 was crowned the top performer and recipient of the Gold Awardee garnering also several major and special awards for the night. Meanwhile, Region 12 bagged the Silver Award being the second top performer in Mindanao, and Region 9 receiving the Bronze Award as the third top performing region in the Cluster.
