DA-Wide Field Inspectorate holds field monitoring, validation to subprojects under DA-PRDP RPCO3
The Department of Agriculture – Wide Field Inspectorate (DA-WFI), under the designation of DA Assistant Secretary Federico E. Laciste Jr., held a field monitoring and validation from May 4-6, 2022 to various projects funded under the DA Regular Program and subprojects under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) in Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, and Aurora.
This activity is in line with their directive to ensure that the DA programs are implemented in accordance with the formulated operational plans and guidelines including fund utilization. They also recommended and provided inputs on the enhancement of existing regulations, standards, and procedures related to the operationalization of the department’s programs.
Among the projects they visited were six (6) subprojects under PRDP Regional Project Coordinating Office 3 (RPCO 3). These include farm-to-market roads (FMR) in Pampanga and Tarlac; the Processing Center and Storage facilities with Solar Dryer in Moncada, Tarlac; the Mungbean Trading Post with Custom Service Facilities in La Paz, Tarlac; and the Onion Cold Storage and Mango Rehabilitation Facility in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.
The DA-WFI team were accompanied by the DA RFO 3 staff headed by Ms. Marie Joy Daguro of the Field Operations Division with representatives from DA-PRDP RPCO 3 and in coordination with the Agricultural Program Coordinators of Region 3 and Provincial and Municipal Agriculturists.
At the end of the three-day activity, they commended the smooth implementation of the projects in the region. They also thanked the RFO 3 staff, local officials, and the projects’ beneficiaries for the warm welcome they received. (By: Ram Bill Bautista, RPCO3 InfoACE)
