RPAB approves four FMR subprojects in Quezon Province

A total of four (4) Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) subproject proposals were approved on March 25, 2022 by the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) in the CALABARZON region.

Hailing from the municipalities of Quezon and Batangas, four (4) new Feasibility Studies (FS) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) proposals, and two Variation Orders were presented among invited panelists of the board.

All of the new FMR proposals from Sariaya, San Narciso, Sampaloc, and Buenavista in Quezon Province were approved, while both variation order proposals from Lucban and Taysan are awaiting proper document submission before final endorsement of the board.

Led by RPAB Chairperson Assistant Secretary for Operations and DA-4A Regional Executive Director Asec. Arnel de Mesa, the RPAB is represented by the agencies of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Council (RAFC), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR); and the departments of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Trade and Industry (DTI), Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Present also during the activity were DA-4A OIC-RTD for Operations and DA-PRDP Project Director Engineer. Abelardo Bragas, BFAR representative Maribeth H. Ramos, DTI representative Julieta E. Tadiosa, DAR representative Maria Villa Panganiban, DILG representative John Joseph Vasquez, DENR representative Cynthia N. Rozaldo, DPWH representative Engr. Ruel Casimiro, I-BUILD Component Head Joel Fuentes, and the rest of the DA-PRDP staff.
