RPAB approves new abaca SP in LDN

The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10) through the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) approved the Abaca Fiber Processing and Marketing Enterprise proposal of the Tambo Farmers Marketing Cooperative (TFMC) from Munai, Lanao del Norte on December 14, 2021 in Cagayan de Oro City.
Under the IREAP Component, the subproject proposal of this Lanao coop has an estimated project cost of Php 7,145,594.94 and will include 1 unit hauling truck, 7 units decorticating machine, 1 unit bailing machine and 1 unit transformer.
The board, headed by DA-10 Regional Executive Director and DA-PRDP 10 Project Director Carlene C. Collado, also reviewed two IREAP proposals from Iligan associations namely Abaca Fiber Processing and Marketing of Cadayunan Tribal Farmers Association worth Php 10.43 M and the Banana Cardaba Trading and Marketing of Binasan Tribal Farmers Association worth Php 9.26M. These proposals are subject for further compliance of the board’s comments.
RPAB members present during the said review are Dir. Zoraida O. Macadindang of DAR, Greenly L. Batucan of DTI, Reynaldo S. Cabanao of RAFC, Lordilie Enjambre of MinDa, Percy Salugsugan of PhilFIDA, and Solon Adamat of NCIP. Also present are Carmelita T. Bajarla, MBA, DA Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations and IREAP Component Head, Larry E. Paraluman, IREAP Alternate Head, and PRDP RPCO 10 staff. (IAgawin)
