RPAB 10 approves 8 new SPs

CAGAYAN DE ORO – Another eight (8 ) DA PRDP subprojects worth Php 480,874,788.54 were approved by the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) on May 25, 2021 in this City.

The approved subprojects include two (2) Farm to Market Roads (FMR) with an estimated project cost of Php 408,320,000.00. Of which Php 211,200,000.00 is allocated for the Concreting of 13.2 km Sinara Bajo-Sanara Alto-Dinas-Katipunan FMR in Sinacaban & Jimenez, Misamis Occidental and the Php 197,120,000.00 for the Concreting of 12.32 KM Panalsalan-Cartagena-Luzaran-Dampalan-Macalibre Alto FMR in Plaridel and Lopez Jaena, Mis. Occ.

 

Aside from FMR subprojects under the Intensified Building up of Infrastructure and Logistics Development (I-BUILD), RPAB also approved the Construction of two (2) Warehouses and Solar Dryers for Barangay Kahayagan and Bansarvil in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte with an estimated project cost of Php 8 million each.

 

In addition, the proposed Double A Abattoir subproject worth Php 31,554,788.54 of LGU Kapatagan, Lanao Del Norte was also given RPAB’s approval.

 

Meanwhile, proposals presented via video conferencing are the Construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer in Brgy. Balag and Brgy. Liligayon, Valencia City with an estimated cost of Php 8 million per site and the Construction of Warehouse and the Php 9 M worth of Solar Dryer in Brgy. Sto. Niño, Tubod, Lanao del Norte, which were also given a nod by the RPAB.

 

The approved subprojects will be endorsed to Mindanao Project Support Office (PSO) for further review and approval and same will be endorsed to the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO) for approval and issuance of No Objection Letter (NOL 1).

 

DA 10 Regional Executive Director and RPCO 10 Project Director, Carlene C. Collado appreciated the efforts of the Local Government Units (LGU) in coming up with the project proposals despite of the constraints caused by the pandemic. He also reminded and encouraged the proponents to comply the lacking documents and requirements suggested by the board members in order to fast track the prioritization of the projects.

 

The RPAB was headed by Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado with members Prof. Edgardo Layug of Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC), Lourdes S. Enjambre of Mindanao Development Authority, Tranquilino Roa of National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), and Engr. Roland J. Alcantara of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

 

Engr. Noel Doria of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Cathy Escuzar of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Donna Jane Rojo of the Department of Trade and Industry and Anna N. Burgos, and Regional Director of National Commission of Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) also joined the review via online teleconference. # (IAgawin)
