Four subprojects ready for RPAB review in RPCO-X

Cagayan de Oro City – In preparation for the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) review, PRDP RPCO 10 team conducts a pre-RPAB activity for the 9 proposed subprojects under the Additional Financing 2 on February 10, 2021, Gusa, in this city.

The activity aims to evaluate the proponent’s proposals for slaughterhouses and warehouses to ensure compliance to the standards and requirements set by DA PRDP and World Bank. This will also qualify them to the RPAB review scheduled on February 17-18, 2021.

Municipalities submitted proposals for warehouse subprojects are Tubod and Lala, Lanao del Norte while the municipalities of Salay, Laguindingan, Cagayan De Oro City, Misamis Oriental and Manolo Fortich and Don Carlos, Bukidnon submitted proposals for slaughter house subprojects.

A daylong activity resulted to the endorsement of 4 subprojects for RPAB review and approval. These subprojects includes the Construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer in Barangay Malingao, Tubod, Lanao del Norte with an estimated cost of Php 8.9M; Construction of Warehouse and Solar Dryer in Pendulunan and Simpak in Lala, Lanao del Norte with an estimated cost of Php 8.5M each; Construction of Double ‘A’ Slaughterhouse with Cold Storage in Barangay Alipuaton in Salay, Misamis Oriental worth Php 52.7M;

Recommended for enhancement and for compliance of lacking requirements are the proposals of Don Carlos, Bukidnon for the Construction of Municipal Double ‘A’ Slaughterhouse in Barangay Pinamaloy with a project cost of Php 39.9 M; Construction of Double “A” Slaughterhouse with Cold Storage in Barangay Aromahon, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental worth Php 80M; Construction of Triple “A” Slaughterhouse in Barangay Tangkulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon worth Php 300 M; and Construction of Triple “A” Slaughterhouse in Barangay Balubal , Cagayan de Oro City worth Php 300 M.

On the other hand, Carlene C. Collado, DA-10 Regional Executive Director and RPCO 10 Project Director, encouraged the LGUs to comply with the needed requirements. “These projects are very promising in your town, be inspired to exert more efforts until its project turnover. Let us continue to work together for the benefits and progress of our farmers in the countryside.”

Project proposals that will be approved during the RPAB review will be endorsed to the Project Support Office for further verification and endorsement to the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO) for No Objection Letter (NOL1) approval. #
