Some 11 local government units (LGUs) and 1 proponent group (PG) were recognized by the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Project Support Office (PSO) North Luzon after they successfully obtain No Objection for the Award of Contract or NOL2 for their subproject funded under the Second Additional Financing 2 (AF2) held during the ceremonial awarding on July 21, 2022 at Savannah Resort Hotel, Angeles City, Pampanga.

A certificate of award was presented to the provincial, municipal, and city LGUs and the lone PG by the Regional Executive Director and Project Director, Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr., alongside Deputy Project Director Elma S. Mananes.

A total of 16 subprojects amounting to Php 1.74 billion received NOL2 under the AF2 which signals the start of their implementation process.

The Cagayan Valley Region got the highest number of approved SPs with 10 amounting to Php 985 million, followed by the Ilocos Region with 3 worth Php 308 million, Central Luzon with 2 worth Php 309 million, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) with 1 worth 139 million.

RED and Project Director Bautista congratulated the awardees and expressed hope that the awarding inspires the local government units to continually support the development of the agriculture sector in their locality through relevant infrastructure subprojects in collaboration with PRDP.

Present to receive the award/s were local officials and regional technical directors of regions, provincial/municipal/city project management and implementing unit (P/M/CMPIU), and other representatives of the said localities.
